Tradies who favour trays have a new option in the dual-cab ute market as GWM has added three new cab-chassis variants of its Ute Cannon to its line-up.
Available with drive-away pricing at $1000 more than the regular pick-up versions, the Ute Cannon-CC starts from $36,990 in 4x2 specification drive-away, or $39,990 for the 4x4 version.
The cab-chassis is also available in Cannon-L specification - which brings more comfort features like heated seats, parking sensors and an electric adjustable seat for the driver - for $43,490 drive-away.
Each variant is also available, like the rest of the GWM ute range, with a lower drive-away price for buyers with ABNs, each $1500 less than the standard DA price.
Pearl white paintwork is standard and free, but two other body-colour options (Pittsburgh Silver and Slate Grey) are $595 each.
A couple of other specification changes result from the tray replacing the tub, including a payload increase of 80kg up to 1130kg, as well as a slightly longer ute overall by 101mm. Braked towing capacity remains the same at 3000kg.
The CC variants are still powered by a 120kW/400Nm 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine, with an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
Each GWM Ute Cannon benefits from the brand’s seven-year/unlimited kilometre warranty, with five-year roadside assistance and five years of capped-price servicing.
