Solid supply! 2023 Skoda wait times detailed: Increasing stock levels for Kamiq and Karoq SUVs, plus Octavia sedan and wagon

The Skoda Kamiq small SUV is one of the brand's most popular cars in 2023, having sold 339 in January and February.

Skoda Australia says its supply for some of its models is returning to much more accessible levels, with the Octavia liftback sedan and wagon, Kamiq compact SUV and Karoq medium SUV all increasing in availability.

The three models are the brand's most popular in the country as of the end of February for 2023, having made up almost 900 sales between them, of the brand's total 1324 sales in that time.

The Kamiq small SUV is the leader, with 339 sold in January and February.

Skoda Australia Director Michael Irmer said Australia's tendency to order option packs and more highly specified vehicles has made it a higher priority for production, meaning supply is likely to continue improving and features currently included in option packs may become standard for some models.

"All Australian Skodas are sourced from Europe," Irmer said.

“Specification that may be optional elsewhere is expected by Australian customers. Select features are currently available as options and – thanks to Australia being prioritised as a high-specification market – are fitted to the vast majority of our inbound stock.

"That's an important step forward to give customers what they desire, and once possible they will become standard again."

In addition to this, Skoda will bring mid-life updates for the Scala, Octavia and Kamiq to Australia during 2024, as well as beginning production of the Enyaq electric car in both crossover and coupe variants.
